As a registered umbrella body with Disclosure Scotland, Elite Childcare Agency countersigns and submits PVG applications: for every member of our own staff, and for individuals or organisations that need checks done right.
Why PVG checks matter
The Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme is Scotland’s safeguard for anyone working with children and protected adults. Checks are managed by Disclosure Scotland, which reviews an applicant’s record and keeps scheme members under ongoing consideration.
Since 1 April 2026, PVG scheme membership lasts five years and is renewed every five years, so records stay current over time.
For nurseries and parents alike, that vetting is the foundation trust is built on. It is why the PVG scheme sits at the centre of everything we do.

Elite Childcare Agency is a registered accredited body and PVG countersignatory with Disclosure Scotland. We countersign and submit PVG applications for regulated roles with children and protected adults: for our own staff before their first shift, and for individuals or organisations. All our staff are also SSSC registered within 3 months of starting employment with us.
